The predicted steady 19mph from NW was not accurate. :-
STATS
Max to 18.6 - Avg of 7.2 - winds from NE-NW (very variable)

I made a couple of long runs and strung 3(!) consecutive duck jibes.
The ground was very damp with puddles scattered around.

I will try to video some duck jibes next outing. According to iWindsurf Friday around 1pm looks promising. We'll see.

Took Alex & Kristina with me to IM fields.

Max of 15mph - Avg 5.4 - winds variable from S-E

We made a few runs between soccer fields.
RAC complex is now "complex" to navigate. There are bleachers and soccer goals all about.
Alex & Kristina used the 5.8
I was on the 7.0

Not really worth the rigging effort... At least the ice cream after was nice.

So-so day. Mostly standing around waiting for enough power to move. Made a few slo-mo duck jibes.

Post #1 - A Blog is Born

Okay, a brief explanation...
I'm experimenting with blogs and audio/video-blogs to explore the technology and potential educational value. Looks pretty promising!

I'm going to focus on my (and my kids) obsession for windsurfing on grass. We call it dirtsurfing. Play the movie below for a quick peek (Requires Free QuickTime Player)

Just back in from an hour and twenty minutes of dirtsurfing on the Georgia Southern University IM fields - a solo excursion.
STATS: Max winds of 22mph - Avg of 11.5 - Winds from SE-SW
Rigged the 7.0 Retro
Practiced clew-first jibes almost exclusively. Made around 60%.
Half-dozen dirt starts.

Pretty fun session. Steady winds mostly. Dry ground.
